MAP Training - Excavator

Course Content:
Day 1 & 2: Training will be directed towards safety and competency in the safe operation and knowledge of the excavator. Theory includes explanation of OH&S issues and assessment questions. The Trainer will explain & demonstrate operation of the machine with all safety rules. Participants operate excavator under instruction, performing various assessment tasks.
Day 3: Full assessment conducted in both theory & practical aspects of machine operations.

Course Preparation:
On payment of deposit, an Assessment Instrument will be sent to participants for pre-course study. There are a number of questions that must be answered and brought to the course.

Course Requirements:
Course participants do not need prior operating experience, but some prior knowledge of the machinery would be an advantage. Appropriate safety gear such as ear protection, clothing, safety boots and sun protection are the responsibility of the participant. Please bring your own food and drinks. Training or assessment may be stopped or suspended at any time if OH&S requirements are not adhered to or if drugs or alcohol are suspected.

Course Outcome:
On successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment in OHSCER205A and a WorkCover NSW certificate of competency. * Note: This is a State-based Certificate of Competency.

Pre-requisites:
Over 18 years of age & 100 points of Identification
